We are now looking for an energetic and self-motivated Full Stack Developer with a backend focus to join a team responsible for the development of CSC's sensitive data management services.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you design and build reliable, secure, and scalable products, drive architectural decisions, and ensure adherence to best practices and development standards. Your core responsibilities include backend and frontend development, software testing, mentoring and supporting other developers to promote knowledge sharing and drive team growth.

The role involves evaluating new technologies, tools or applications from open-source communities, as well as actively participating in the daily operations of the services. A significant part of the work includes contributing to technical documentation and supporting teams within the CSC.  

CSC’s sensitive data management services are developed through international collaborations. The role includes occasional travel and active participation in technical meetings, virtual calls, and collaborative documentation processes.

This is a fixed-term position, until 30.9.2026.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

·       Design and build reliable, secure, and scalable products

·       Drive architectural decisions

·       Ensure adherence to best practices and development standards

·       Backend and frontend development

·       Software testing

·       Mentoring and supporting other developers

·       Evaluating new technologies, tools or applications

·       Actively participating in the daily operations of the services

·       Contributing to technical documentation and supporting teams within the CSC

What we expect

·       strong, hands-on experience in backend application development using Python and/or Go expertise in API design, Docker, and Kubernetes

·       practical experience in resolving deployment challenges and managing software deployment processes (Git, CI/CD pipelines)

·       experience with testing frameworks, web security, authentication and authentication, and skills in performance optimization.

Experience with frontend development (JavaScript, React, Vue, TypeScript), testing (Jest, React-testing-library, Cypress, Vitest, Playwright), and familiarity with accessibility standards and UI/UX design (Figma) are considered an advantage.

We are looking for a candidate with a master’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience who enjoys working as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Close collaboration with CSC staff members, such as product and service owners, is key to understanding needs, setting priorities, and delivering improvements to CSC’s sensitive data management services.
