Senior Coordinator for Trustworthy AI (LUMI AI Factory)

Join our rapidly growing LUMI AI Factory Services group in our mission to support leading Research, Development and Innovation initiatives and to develop novel solutions for AI, using the largest AI platforms in Europe, in a sustainable manner! 

We are looking for Senior Coordinator for Trustworthy AI to strengthen our team and to work on the trustworthiness, compliance, and sustainability of AI Factory operations. Your work will be supported by a (virtual) team of experts with mixed backgrounds, including legal and technical expertise.

Our projects in the LUMI AI Factory will support the development of Trustworthy AI through practical initiatives such as targeted guidelines, training and courses, tailored consultation, regulatory sandboxes, and compliant computing environments. We will collaborate closely with other AI Factories and initiatives at national and EU levels to facilitate the implementation of the EU AI Act.  

The Senior Coordinator will foster creation of guidelines and other documentation that ensure EU AI Act compliance of the use of AI in the LUMI AI Factory context. You will engage legal experts to give support for compliance questions and collaborate with the LUMI AI system teams to map the AI Factory technical environment and administrative processes with regulatory requirements. In this position you will catalyze the deployment of the emerging regulatory AI sandboxes that enable customers to validate the legal compliance of their AI workflows. In addition, you will update the AI Factory work plan to follow the guidance from authorities and to align with the evolving best practices and advice and train AI Factory staff and stakeholders on the Trustworthy AI issues. Essential part of your job is to coordinate the dialogue with European AI Office, national responsible ministries and national competent authorities and possible other key stakeholders. Main topics of dialogue are guidelines, codes of practice and AI sandboxes.

What we expect:

Your skill profile should involve experience in topics including: 

  • Familiarity with the EU AI Act, AI ethics and copyright issues with the AI deployments

  • Know-how / experience in data protection (GDPR) and information privacy related to ICT activities

  • Certification, e.g., CIPP/E / CIPM / CIPT / AI Governance Professional (AIGP), is highly valued

  • A Master's in a relevant field is seen as an asset

Excellent networking, team working and communication skills in verbal and written English are essential for teamwork and collaboration with our partners. Experience of working as part of international multi-partner projects is also considered a benefit.
