Eviden Undergraduate Scholarships for CSC Summer School in High-Performance Computing 2025

Please note that this is not a paid position at CSC!

This year we have our partner Eviden sponsoring two scholarships for CSC Summer School in High-Performance Computing 2025. Eviden is delivering our national supercomputer Roihu and is the leader in HPC/AI systems in Europe. The scholarship covers the participation fee and moderate travel costs within Finland (e.g., train fares).

How to Apply for Scholarship:

1. Eligibility requirement: scholarships are for undergraduate students enrolled in Finnish universities (no Bachelor's degree at the time of the application)

2. Prepare your CV and a cover letter that explains:

   • Why you are interested in high-performance computing and your motivation to attend the summer school

   • How attending the summer school will benefit your studies and/or career plans

   • Your current skills in Linux, programming, and IT technology (see the expected background knowledge in the summer school website)

3. Submit your application. The final deadline for applications is April 16, 2025, but please do not delay submitting your application, as we will be evaluating candidates on a rolling basis and may make selections prior to the deadline.
