Summer Trainee, AI for ELIXIR node

The ELIXIR summer trainee transforms written materials and documentation of the ELIXIR Finland node into Co-pilot AI agents. The work starts by organising existing data content into eDuuni pages logically to support the Finland ELIXIR node governance at CSC. Division of materials is made based on bioinformatics field support e.g. Human Data, Biotechnology, Agriculture, etc etc all fields of bioinformatics in the Finnish Biocenters).

Trainee is expected to create 5-10 independent AI agents that can be queried for this information. The data sources for the AI agents will be dynamically updated, and thus the agents need to be dynamically updatable as well. The outcome of the summer job is the release of the AI agents for CSC internal use. The success is measured by how useful these agents are, and how easily the data content underlying artificial intelligence support for CSC decision making can be maintained.

Key responsibilities for the trainee include:

• CSC Internal documentation management

• Jira

• Co-pilot agent building

• Deployment of agents on the intranet

Key competencies we are looking for:

• Experience from AI agent building and Co-Pilot

• GDPR knowledge

• Good communication skills

• Open mind

• M.Sc studies (or equivalent)

Location: Espoo

Our summer trainees usually work from May to August, but other dates are also possible. The duration is usually 3–4 months.

Traineeship is paid. The salary depends on the stage of studies but is at least 2100 €/month.
