Sensitive Data Coordinator Trainee
The Sensitive Data Coordination team is responsible for coordination and facilitation of our unit's work. We coordinate the externally funded grants for the unit and ensure internal communication. We coordinate many strategic initiatives for the unit, establish architecture expertise and ensure strong relationship with the Finland ELIXIR Node.
As a trainee, depending on your background, you could be involved in the coordination of our externally funded projects, in architecture work or communication initiatives.
We're looking for a trainee with strong interest in cross-team communication & coordination. Education in technical or biological areas would be an asset.

Coordinator Trainee, Research Infrastructure
ELIXIR is a distributed European research infrastructure delivering and developing services for the European life science research community. Finland joined ELIXIR in 2014 and CSC has been hosting the national lead entity since. The ELIXIR team operates a service development programme with a number of high profile international projects such as the Genomic Data Infrastructure (https://gdi.onemilliongenomes.eu/).
This position will provide a high visibility and deep dive into the competitive market of international research, development and innovation (RDI) funding.
Your task will include:
Analysis of the CSC project portfolio engagements across domains, evaluating value partner networks and the way of working
Development and evaluation through a performance indicator framework to support strategic decision making for future RDI activities
Identify research infrastructure and research partner opportunities with unexploited potential that fit to CSC businesses
Key competencies we are looking for:
Analytical skills with capacity to distill impact measures
A strategic mindset with care for detailed data and ability to link plans to a company strategy
Capability for forward planning with presentation skills
Individual analysis related experience
We are looking for MSc student, late in studies, can also be a research oriented profile - Science domain agnostic, eg. life sciences, engineering, business, social sciences. Work experience in a research environment is considered as an advantage but is not necessary. Experience with presentation track record is also beneficial.

Our summer trainees usually work from May to August, but other dates are also possible. The duration is usually 3–4 months.
Traineeship is paid. The salary depends on the stage of studies but is at least 2100 €/month.
