Want to be a Forerunner? Join us in shaping the future of research data management in Finland and in Europe. CSC is now looking for a proactive technical coordinator to contribute in European collaborations in the area of research data services.


CSC is one of the core members of the EUDAT CDI consortium of more than 20 European organisations providing state-of-the-art services for research data management. EUDAT CDI is contributing to various European projects with the goal of making research data accessible and reusable, thus supporting all fields of science. In particular, the EUDAT CDI is involved in developing the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), an EC driven ambitious programme to support research in Europe.


CSC’s EUDAT team is now looking for a technical coordinator to boost its activities in European projects and partnerships. The selected candidate will be joining EOSC related projects as a task member or a task leader right from the start, supported by the local EUDAT team. Besides the European collaboration this position can offer opportunities in, for example, to initiate new projects, influence CSC’s EUDAT related operational and business models, or develop sales and customer engagement at CSC.

Job requirements

In order to succeed in this position, we expect you have the following experience / skills:

  • Project management in IT related projects
  • Can-do attitude
  • Organising events or meetings (physical or online)
  • Written and spoken communications in English

In addition, the following skills will be beneficial:

  • IT service development and management
  • Experience on participating in EU funded projects
  • Research data management and FAIR practices
  • Confluence tools (wiki, JIRA)


We feel that studies in a technical field give good background for this role, but you may well have acquired the needed skills through experience as well.
